Because I think there will be some national trauma in the near future, and O will be associated with it. (It could be something as simple as the EBT cards not working. We're a good distance of the way to that one already, and closing fast.)MarkD wrote:I don't know what you've been drinking, but I want some.Greg wrote:I'm afraid Obama is pretty much a definitive guaranty that we won't ever have another. Yours on the other hand speaks of a level of idealism and optimism I didn't think you were capable of.
If another black man runs, even if every black person in Washington DC, NYC, Chicago and Los Angeles has to vote six times in six different counties. The Liberals will be falling all over themselves to vote for him to prove they're not racist. It could be Eric Holder, Al Sharpton, Marion Barry or Ray Rice. The very same people who handed Obama the White House twice will do so again.
Unless of course the candidate is Republican. Then of course they're voting principles, not refusing to vote for him because he's black, unlike the people who didn't vote for Obama, the only reason for which could be racism.
Damn, contorting my brain enough to type that gave me a headache.
And memory of trauma lasts a LONG time, and is not rational.
