Final words...or not

Post by AZMARK »

I caught a rerun of Boondock Saints last night and got to thinking:

MacManus family prayer

or

Ezekiel 25:17

Which would you use when your nemesis is on his knees before you?

My favorite story of his ended with "...and so he went out the back door in his bathrobe, flipped the AK to 'Afrikaner', and started hosing the baboons off his tennis court." - Tam

...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".

What Randy (and Tuco) said. Maybe an action movie one-liner afterwards, but always shoot first.

I introduced the dame to a friend who's very close to my heart. Just a little down and left, to be specific. My friend is an eloquent speaker. He made three profound arguments while I excused myself from the room. I always leave when the talk gets philosophical.

I really honestly have never thought about that kind of situation. The idea of putting a gun to someones head and then making them say some words before I pulled the trigger would just creep me out. That's not me at all.

I just hope that when the time comes for me I'll meet the Reaper without fear and spit in his eye.

I've done that in the context of getting a kicking in street fights ( if you want to finish me then put me in a coma, because I'll just get back up again otherwise, like the stupid, stupid redneck that I am ) , but I knew that the guys beating me were only going to kill me by accident, rather than intent. Where's the Magic Brownies??? Or None of the Above?

Maybe something like: "Go to HELL, you Mother f'cker!!" Or maybe even: "This is going to hurt you much more than its going to hurt me!"

EDIT: I voted just to even the poll out. 1-1
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

I am partial to Hans Grubers response in Die Hard when Nakamura told him he didn't have the combination to the safe, so he would just have to shoot him:
"OK"
<BANG>
"We'll do it the hard way."

Or if you want to be more elaborate, how about Genghis Khan:
"O people, know that you have committed great sins, and that the great ones among you have committed these sins. If you ask me what proof I have for these words, I say it is because I am the punishment of God. If you had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you."

" It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have." (Will Munny, Unforgiven)

If you have to do it, just do it. Anything else added is just more poison in your memories later. That'd be my guess.
