Interesting development -- not necessarily out of line with the world you've invented.

Still strikes as a bit... off somehow, but then we ARE talking about a world where everyone not in a faraday cage has disappeared through some dimensional hole, and ... etc.

As I said -- not really out of line, and less "off" the more I think about it...
