I use a 20's gillette like this one: http://www.countryjoescollectiblestuff. ... split.html
and a GEM Micromatic. It's far cheaper to get blades from the hardware store than to pay a dollar a blade for the modern stuff, and I get a better shave too.

Re: What do you all shave with?
I use a Gillete Mach 3 myself, but I hate shaving. Thankfully I still have a "baby face" so I don't really need to shave for 2-3 days. I would just grow a beard but I have what my mother calls "patches." That is, I would be missing a few spots in the cheek areas. My father has the same beard problem but he can grow a bitchin' mustashe...
Thankfully now that I'm out of the military I can finally grow a goatee, and it is awesome. I have 4 different colors in my beard. Red, Brown, Black and Blonde. I take it as just a reminder of all the mixed breeds I am(English, German, Irish, Cherokee, and I think there was some Gypsy in there too...).
I've never used a straight razor myself, but I do like the style of them and the barber does a fine job of trimming the sideburns and neck with one.

I use a straight on the weekends, and a Merkur classic safety razor during the week. Shaving is a real pleasure with these instruments. When I started with the straight, I thought it was impossible. But I persisted, and now it is a real pleasure to use. I genuinely look forward to it. Havn't touched a TurboFusionPowerMach5BladeHumDinger since I switched over. I save a ton of dough and get much more out of the ritual.

I tend to buy cheap disposable 3 bladed razors- which work great. I get about 2 weeks out of each razor.

Right now I am mostly using those green Bics. They give a nice smooth shave and my face is smooth as a baby's bottom for two or three hours.

A Braun electric.
I *really* hate shaving, the electric makes it very quick and completely painless. Just a few seconds every morning before hopping in the shower and I'm good to go.
I'm not really a "luxuriate in the sensuality" type of person, or I'd likely use a straight razor. Those are pretty cool and very effective (definitely give a better shave than my electric).

Old-fashioned, Gillette safety razor -- I use feather blades. Works well, and much less irritation/expense than the multi-blades.

Mach 3 Turbo here. I despise shaving, so I only do it once a week.

I wear a beard and only shave my neck once or twice a week. I use a Schick injector and a mug and brush. I hate shaving foams and gels.

Re: What do you all shave with?
Back when I shaved (I've worn a beard for more than 20 years) I used either a straight razor or a Merkur adjustable.
My problem: very heavy beard, very tender skin. Always had to shave twice. First with the grain, then re-lather (brush & mug) and against the grain.
These days, I shave the back of my neck once a week with the Merkur, and occasionally trim the beard with a straight razor.
