More gobbley gook--and yet they complain when the NRA sends someone to spy on them...
Could someone, please, explain to me the difference or is it the old adage of " what's good for me is good for me and what's good for you, I'll make illegal for you to use and enjoy (and use it by myself behind closed doors)...

Dear Supporter:
I wanted to update you on the Real Hunters Real Conservation campaign that American Hunters and Shooters launched on August 21. As you know, this campaign brought much needed attention to the fact that the NRA - which claims to represent our interests as hunters and shooters - supports the biggest opponents of protecting our wilderness and hunting in Congress.
Well, I want to update us with some of the news our campaign is making:

Pro-Gun, Pro-Conservation Interest Group Steps up To Challenge NRA Dominance
Shawn Zeller, August 27, 2008
NRA officials are worried that Democratic nominee Barack Obama of Illinois could make some headway among gun owners this year, and they're blaming a little-known group run by Ray Schoenke, a former Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins lineman who now runs a 300-acre hunting farm on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
Schoenke organized the American Hunters & Shooters Association (AHSA) in 2005 to defend gun owners' right to bear arms and protect the hunting grounds he loves to roam. In April, Schoenke endorsed Obama, who he says will do more for conservation than McCain.
"What good is a gun if you have nowhere to shoot?" Schoenke asked last week as he issued a report arguing that the NRA often endorses candidates who rate poorly on conservation. Schoenke used vote ratings compiled by environmentalist groups including the Sierra Club and League of Conservation Voters to buttress his findings.

The Anti-Conservation Mission of the NRA: Will hunters continue to support the demise of their sport by contributing to the National Rifle Association?
Bill Schneider, August 28, 2008
It's hardly a news flash that the National Rifle Association (NRA) supports anti-conservation, anti-hunting politicians. Even though I've written about it several times, I never realized how bad it was.
A just-released report by the NRA's nemesis, the American Hunters and Shooters Association (AHSA), deals out all the dreadful details, and it should be a major eye-opener for any hunter who still supports the NRA.

NRA is Not Shooting Straight with Its Members
Ray Schoenke, August 28, 2008
As the self-proclaimed "largest pro-hunting organization in the world," the National Rifle Association has long claimed to represent America's hunters and shooters in the fight to protect one of America's oldest traditions. The NRA's bylaws include an article setting a core goal "to promote and defend hunting . . . as a viable and necessary method of fostering the propagation, growth and conservation . . . of our renewable wildlife resources."
