Oh!
Looking back at the report of the law-suit, I see that it's over 3 years old. Costco has probably fixed it's labeling and changed it's marketing of this item. However, knowing how Costco rotates product availability, if they're still selling this item after more than 3 years, I suspect they're selling a lot of it.

They must have changed the label.
All in all, looks like a pretty good deal for $85. I think I'll order a few to supplement what my girlfriend refers to as my "Mormon Room"

Apparently, the lawsuit went nowhere - I can't find anything regarding arguments or a decision on the King County Superior Court's website.Dedicated_Dad wrote:They've been sued - there's not enough food in the bucket to cover 1/5 of the needed nutrients.
Look carefully......12. If the contents of a bucket of Costco "Emergency Food Supply -- Three month food supply for one person" are consumed at 3 servings per day over a 91-2/3 day period as directed, a person would receive average daily nutrition of 455 calories, with 18 grams of protein...

The bucket we have doesn't say anything about MEALS, it talks about INDIVIDUAL servings and doesn't specify anything about how long the food supply should or could last - and I'm pretty sure most people eat more than one serving for a meal. A serving of vegetables, a serving of meat, one of breads or pasta, perhaps a serving of fruit, etc., etc.

I placed an order with these guys last year, and found the level of service to be outstanding. They even picked up shipping to Alaska!
