Send the problem bears to south Louisiana. Cajuns will eat just about anything in a gumbo.

we have a winner. :D :D :D

I am not so opposed to some PC "animal rights activists" reaping what they sow.

If you are too stupid to call DOW when a bear is ranging at YOUR HOUSE...
If you are too stupid to own a BIG GUN when you live in bear country...
If you are too stupid to shoot a bear (repeatedly) that is entering YOUR HOUSE...

...you deserve to turned into bear scat.

My favorite Cajun Joke:
Boudreaux and Thibodeaux were walking through the woods the other day, when a flying saucer landed near them. A door opened, and two little green aliens climbed down out of the spacecraft.

Thibodeaux turned to Boudreaux, "Mais, look at dat. What you tink dat is?"

Boudreaux, aiming his shotgun at the little space critters, replied, "Thibodeaux, I don' know, but you hurry back to de camp, put on de rice pot, and start makin' a roux!

A little latitude is all that separates most Alaskans from the Cajuns, Bears are good jerked , or in a stew , and taste like pork, (barbecue sauce).

The local DOW guy is going on and on about how "it's not a bear problem, it's a people problem".

I say that after three people have been injured by bears that it's time to call it a bear problem!

Ah, for the days when the men in town would grab a rifle and spend the weekend dealing with the problem. Maybe afterward the town could have a community bear roast. That would be something new to the diamond encrusted tourists around here.

Now I remember why everyone told me to avoid Aspen when I was stationed at Lowry. It was the impromptu celebrity appearances.
Remember, folks, you can't spell "douche" without "Che."

Oh... When I lived in Leadville I used to drive over to Aspen once each summer or fall. It's beautiful country over there. The town and people are another matter--very glitzy, as you might expect. Driving over Independence Pass, you really notice the difference; the smell of money. In summer, when the pass is open, we'd often get Aspenites driving through Leadville, taking the short route to Denver or points east. Leadville was a mining town, I'm sure it creeped some of them out.

Nah, they just didn't expect banjo music to overpower their John Denver.

Couldn't resist.

Hmm, gonna be hunting hear Vail in a couple of weeks, think I may have to put out a couple of cans of tuna properly 'punctured'.
