Belly Band advice

The place for general talk about gun, shooting, loading, camping, survival, and preparedness related tools and gear, as well as gear technology discussion, gear reviews, and gear specific "range reports" (all other types of gear should be on the back porch).

Geez, guys, that looks scary. I think I'd have to start carrying with an empty chamber.

I mean, it's one thing to get your butt shot off in a hip-carry accident, but....

Make sure you wash it OFTEN!!!
Let's see. The 85UL is some sort of alloy frame and a stainless cylinder. Maybe I could just wear it/rinse it in the pool. :P

Been thunking on this for you, Mr Eagle. I hit the gym quite a lot and I have noticed that people here (Berlin, Germany) carry a lot of stuff while they work out: Gym card, water, MP3 player + ear phones, workout gloves and cell phone etc.

They would seem to have the same problems as you. What they have done is return to the good old faithful bum bag, or fany pack, in the US. I tried it out, and you can get through a lot of exercises without taking it off.

Well, I tried it out for a week or so now, and yes mate, you can carry quite a lot but keep it close to hand.

Just a thought. Cheers - Rusty

I seem to remember an accidental discharge with Thunderwear or some other inside the shorts holster style that involved a Makarov.

The results were dramatic if not downright scary.
Including the 1/4 mile walk afterwards.

I use and prefer a good Summer Special style of holster.

Re-reading your posts, the old Safariland upside down wheelgun holster may just fit the bill nicely.

I use a fanny pack to carry in the gym -- also makes a good place for my ipod, wallet, etc. Around your own house, I think a shoulder holster might be the best choice. So far, at least, I've found shoulder holsters more comfortable than the chest holsters I've tried, although that really would depend on what you're doing (EG, the chest holster works better in the plant because everything stays tucked up tight.)

It was a cheap knock off made out of lighter, cheaper material.
