As kind of an aside, if you're growing/raising your own food, would it be legal to trade food items between two private parties without a license or any other government meddling?
If it is, we might work something out with seafood (crab, shrimp, clams, etc) in exchange for dairy and grains. Seeing as I have a pretty good idea what rivers you'll be close to.

Currently it is, but I seem to remember some legislation that was coming down the pike. Something about criminalizing/regulating bake sales as unlicensed bakeries or some such. Though I don't think that would apply here.Aaron wrote:As kind of an aside, if you're growing/raising your own food, would it be legal to trade food items between two private parties without a license or any other government meddling?

We'll all have to talk about the horse thing once you are located out there Chris. Believe me, it's looking like a license to print money.

I need to start working on my mechanical skills. Though it might be hard to get the wife to move out of Indiana.

Great T-shirt I saw once: "University of Iowa, Idaho City, Ohio"
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".

Only reason I said German anvil was for HTRN's sigline.
I'm imagining Chris standing atop the crow's nest of the SS Guncounter screaming, "I hereby declare thee the 51st State of Altacanukia!" while I tell a shocked mountie, "We have ways of making you say the letter "O" pal."

I'm frightened to ask: are you mentioning the navigable river into Canada because you feel you may eventually shop there, flee to there, or take it over?Ayup, and we'll be on a big lake surrounded by navigable rivers; including 3 that are navigable to the ocean, and two navigable into Canada.

And may I say, from a moral point of view, I think there can be no justification for shoving snack cakes up your action.

Isn't Idaho part of the fictional Tri-States area in the Ashes series?
