The ultimate in ammo boxes

The place for general talk about gun, shooting, loading, camping, survival, and preparedness related tools and gear, as well as gear technology discussion, gear reviews, and gear specific "range reports" (all other types of gear should be on the back porch).

The ultimate in ammo boxes

Post by SeekHer »

I linked to this from the online issue of the Sept/Oct American Handgunner magazine...

I definitely want a few of these for the range!

Okay, call me stupid, but what's the point of these?
A presentation case for...ammo?
This seems like having a classic car and displaying the gasoline.
When I go to the range, I decide what and how much I will shoot, pack it all into a locking ammo can and toss it into the back of the jeep with the gun cases. This just looks bulky and I would cry the first time it got scratched.
If time, chance and random process can produce a platypus why not an ammo tree?

The locking ammo boxes would be good for places where people find themselves easily frightened by loose ammunition (or in the case of Massachusetts) already-fired cartridge casings. Also, the Revo ammunition carrier is kind of cool looking.

Tom,
If CA wants to limit us to 50 rounds -- might as well go Gucci, eh?

They'd work nicely with silver bullets.

Starting at $70 each. Kind of cool for a presentation firearm or collector of ammo I guess.

Those boxes sure are pretty. And that one for 50 pistol rounds would be just thing for the glove box if it would fit. Metal, lockable, hard to smush.

You know, it is stufff like this, made by money hungry fools, that lead to more and more restriction on firearms owners. Some leftist politician is bound to see these things and use them as an example of how even the industry thinks we need to only have 50 rounds and have them locked up at that.

As for me, I just could never see myself buying one, at least for myself, because I like ammo boxes that are more practical in that they are somewhat larger and hold a few more than 50 rounds.

All the best,
Glenn B
