Well, you can count on another one, should you need my special talents on this side of the pond. Best of luck with this and all the other ventures.

And another. On either side of the pond. I like this idea.

Hey, I'm even here already

In fairness, perhaps your "compound" should more rightly be called Paradise...

Sounds like a wonderful idea to me.

Chris/Melody, you all can count on me helping anyway I can. Sounds absolutely great.

Oh man my mind races. 28+ years of QA/QC. 18+ of that in Quality Engineering managing Mfg and Supplier/Procurement quality. Most of that related to various "fab" industries/commodities. All the time dealing liasing (sp?) with customers and doing the inevitable crisis mgmt, containment, relationship building & repair...

Never thought any differently. I don't think any of us are of the commune/community family persuasion. Just wouldn't work with us being a curmudgeonly lot.

Chris, which worlds biggest oil fields is 400 miles north of you?

That distance puts you into Canada, south of Calgary and you have to go a "wee" bit further to get to the Athabasca Tar Sands area at Ft. McMurray...about the same distance again...

My neighbour's two sons work there and they each come back down every alternate year to visit "Gam & Gamps"...

The world's largest diamond field is located a "wee" bit further north again and my other neighbour's son works up there 8 weeks on, 4 weeks off (with regular not Northern Allowance pay)...Kid paints building interiors and last year made just over $200 grand
