I don't know, there was a few moments in SERE where I forgot that we were all on the same side.

Sleep deprivation, dehydration, and hypoglycemia (undiagnosed at the time) are a nasty combination. Made the E&E miserable and everything else a nightmare, waking dream, literal nightmare kind of thing.
If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom,...Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you...; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.

No kidding. They've really got the drill figured out. My brother was a POW (released Mar '73). I read every POW account I could get my hands on from the VN era -- plus quite a few from WWI and WWII.

Not sure but that may have driven me deeper into the SERE role play since I was recalling a lot of that reading. Got to be blurred pretty quick with all stressors they piled on -- not the least of which was auditory (Boots, Boots, Boots. There's no discharge from the war...). Gave me even greater respect and empathy for POWs, that's for sure.
