Any late-'60s (or just pre-'73) MGB GT. Any color OK. Might want the wire wheels this one doesn't have. When I was in my teens our next-door neighbor had one of these; to this day I get doe-eyed when I see one (which is extremely rare).
I've got a 67' big block coupe sitting in the side driveway in rough shape. I'm thinking about stripping it, drilling the tags off of it, and putting them on a new shell.
I have a coupla 60's favorites. 63 Split window vette. 67 L88("Earthquake 88") vette. First Gen Camaros, particularly the big blocks. 66-69 Impalas. 68-69 Chevelles(probably the nicest looking out of all the Chevelles) Buick GS 455s. Olds 442. Pontiac "Judge" GTO...
67-69 fastbacks Mustangs(the only years I really like out of their entire production run, although the current ones don't look to bad, they desperately need better[read: BIGGER] motors). 66 Galaxie 500..
Don't even get me started on the Chryslers..

The V8 Mustang only has 15hp on the V6 Camaro.
I like the full size cars from the first half the decade, particularly the big convertibles, drop in a big torquey engine and an OD and roll.
Also mid-size and compact 2-door wagons. A past neighbor had, if I remember correctly a blue '64 Fairlane, Factory K-code 289 and 4-speed.

It seems that they're putting supercharged 5.4L into the GT500s, for 540 HP. Too bad to get that, you have to spend 18 grand more than for the SS Camaro(426HP with the 6 speed manual.
Now if you compare models in similar price brackets.. The GT has 3v with only 300HP, while the SS has a 426HP 6.2L. If Ford had the sense god gave turnips, they'd offer a DOHC version of the 5.4L in every version of the Mustang.

Ford does have the ragtop going for it. As for Ford having sense, I have two word to say on the matter. Mercury Marauder. AKA Black paint/leather and different inlet tubing for a couple grand.
The 68 Dodge Charger is a sentimental favorite for me, mainly because it was my first car. I liked "fighter cockpit" feel of it with gauges instead of idiot lights and shift on the console, especially after driving the parents land yachts when learning.
Only a 318 2bbl, but that was enough to get me into/out of trouble when the situation required, and working on the smaller engine in a compartment designed to take a 440 meant lots of room to work.
Kept it until Junior year of college when tranny went, and it was easier to get a loan for another car than to get cash to fix it.
The attached picture is not mine, but almost the same paint scheme (mine did not have the stripe on the rear).
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".
My "first" car. I say "first" cuz I owned it. Dad bought it for me and put my name on the title. I had other cars earlier, but they belonged to the folks.
My Olds was white with a red interior. It had the 215 ci (aluminum block) Rockette engine. I would cruise regularly in Montana around 100 mph. The car was pretty light in weight. Driving through a dustdevil crossing the highway at 115 mph really is an interesting experience. Moved me sideways about 2 1/2 lanes, on a 2 lane highway. I really liked that car.
Ended up with the water pump going out. I was about 12 miles too far from the garage and installing the new water pump. Fried the engine.
Next car was a '57 Bel Air, 4 door. With the 327 V-8 and 4 barrel. Hurst "mystery Shifter" on the floor. Ended up selling it back to the previous owner to pay for the carb. Also went into the US Navy at that point.
Then came the 1970 Javelin....

True. What they should have done with the marauder is dumped that blown 5.4L DOHC they're now putting in the GT500. That would have sold like hotcakes.
