I picked up the paperback (at Barnes and Nobel) this afternoon. They had several more copies out on prominent display. It must be doing okay. 8-)

I read the first 7 chapters online and was kicking myself the whole time for not buying one of the original self published copies when they came out. I am now on page 582 and can't remember the last book that cost me this much sleep.

That could have been so crap, as a concept. The genre of fighting supernatural monsters has been ruined for me by having to sit through endless episodes of 'Buffy'. I know a lot of guys find 'Willow' attractive but I just want to punch her as hard as I can, right on the bridge of her nose.

If the world is ever threatened by demons from the fifth circle of Tarturus, and I was in charge, I wouldn't be assembling an army of gelled haired metrosexual teenagers to take them on.
I'd be looking for ex Special Forces, outlaw bikers and general badasses from the wrong side of the tracks. If your name is " Xander " then you can fuck off. Come back when you have a proper name, a chainsaw, some tattoos and look like a man instead of a homosexual.

So judging by the free chapters it's totally brilliant. :D :D

I hope I can buy it here.....

Awesome read (bought the e-book), can't wait for the movie.

Likekwise, I am kicking myself for not grabbing the SP version when I had the chance.

Highspeed: E-book is a good option - webscriptions is a pretty good deal.

The crappy thing about webscriptions is if you find something extra you like in the later months' pack, you end up having to buy more to get the rest of the extras. Good marketing on THEIR end, though...

Cheers, but as above Merll has found out Amazon UK have it available. Thanks Merll. I'm such a dinosaur, even though my missis has an Amazon account I never think to use it....

That's what I was thinking the entire time. I know hollywood can screw up anything, but I would love to see what I just read on screen.

Mine arrived yesterday. I only had time to read a couple chapters, but oh my I'm enjoying this.

Even though I'm only partway through there's a bunch of stuff I have to restrain myself from talking about, so as not to spoil things for everyone.

This probably isn't a spoiler- I wonder if Yangdu knows that the main character's belt knife is a ganga ram. I started laughing and couldn't help blurting out "I know what that is!" (I've gotten familiar with HI recently...) when I first saw it. Got me a funny look.
