It happens a lot around here, especially during school breaks. Two accidental shootings in the past couple of years because of this, in fact. IMO, while the shootings were justified due to Castle Doctrine, a little discretion and less panic on the part of the homeowner could have avoided needless tragedy.Admittedly, my back ground could be different, but I've never encountered someone innocently coming up to a house at 11:30 at night.
I've never had to draw my gun in self defense....Until now.

I bet those two shootings happened in either apartment complexes or tract housing. Just my bigoted, uninformed opinion.
