Am I the only one that isnt comfortable putting signs in my yard or stickers on my car?
Its not that I dont support the candidates, but that I know how violent, insulting and insane that the leftists can be.
I guess I'm concerned about a brick being tossed through my window or some nutcase trying to run me off the road.

We live in a hugely conservative area, with lots of flags out on flag poles (not the little ones stuck in the eaves - REAL flag poles) with service flags nearby on many of them. Also, when you live on a dead-end street, you don't get much non-neighbor traffic.

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

Despite now living in a military town I too am still very cautious about those things because I went to college at the University of Wisconsin (trying to out Berkeley, Berkeley since the 60's) and they would pull that kind of stuff there.mekender wrote:Am I the only one that isnt comfortable putting signs in my yard or stickers on my car?

Re: Political signs and stickers
I don't put them on my work trucks because that's just bad business. I live in a fairly conservative part of NJ (yes, they do exist) but I see no point in alienating a prospective client because of a bumper sticker. Obama supporters' money is just as green..
I don't put them on my car because I don't want to mar its pristine bumper
I will probably throw up a McCain/Palin sign in my yard, though. Not that it will make much of a difference in NJ. Even if Ghandi were running for the GOP, our electoral votes are going to the Jackasses.
Edit for spelling.

Re: Political signs and stickers
I'd rather not put stickers on my car but I'm putting the NRA and McCain/Palin signs in my yard and God help the first person I catch messing with them.
one can be a Democrat, or one can choose to be an American.

Someone slashing tires in my neighborhood is a good way to get shot by one of the neighbors.
