Speaking of tat's...

Went to hear the Son&Heirs band play Friday night at Church youth group annual battle of the bands. He had borrowed a t-shirt from the lead guitarist. The sleeves were torn off and exposed his rib cage.

Surprise, surprise Sgt Carter. His mom noticed that the [strike]boy[/strike] young man has got himself a largish tat on his ribcage under arm area. He's been hiding it from us since his 18th b'day last October!

Oi.

I've always tol' him, "You're old enough for tattoos, you're old enough to pay room and board." Guess he decided to call my bluff. Sure hope he finds a way to pay for his eats at Cal Maritime next year. :-)

On the upside he's got good taste in artwork. It's a one color family crest (McLean of Duart). That explains why his great concern last fall about determining exactly which of the many McLean crests was ours. His 86 yr old Uncle Tommy who immigrated as a wee laddie and goes back to McLean reunions gave him the straight gouge on which crest was which.

Belated birthday greetings, Chris!

Congratulations on the new Greek. I like the old-style lettering too.

Here's mine, obtained down at Fort Sam Houston this summer. Parents didn't seem to mind, but mom has a belly ring at 40-something so go figure...

Beautiful, JKOsprey. Reminds me of one I was planning on, but I never had money back when I had my card.

Chris, I love the old Greek styling.

OUTSTANDING!!! And that's not one that'll embarrass you later down the road when you get older, and/or get divorced. I'd say a timeless CLASSIC and has taste to boot!

Now if I was a combat medic, that might also be the one I would choose were I to put one on my bod for as long as my bod is in one piece and presentable - when I'm done with it is another matter entirely.

I thought about getting it tattooed on my man hood for a very nice double meaning. Nice work Chris, good one.
