All joking aside, RHPS was enough to drive me out of theater actually. The last cast I was in was obsessed with it -- every Friday night was the same thing. Get in costume, pile in the car and drive up to Spanaway for the midnight show and throw toast at the screen. The bi girls and ghey guys would all compete trying to be the one to <ahem> "recruit" us few remaining straights on the cast to go along for the ride and the <ahem, ahem> after party.
I knew better than to walk into that swamp. Run Joseph, Run. Some dear friends in that crew. I grew up with them. It was 1979. STD's and HIV were the farthest thing from their minds. Several are dead now.
