I picked up a Bushnell 3-9x at Gander Mountain last night while staring aghast at their centerfire ammunition prices. I figure it was cheap enough to learn how to sight in a scope and also cheap enough that if it breaks, there's no wailing and gnashing of teeth. Besides, the old 60s-era scope that came with the rifle was broken right out of the box.

Now, if only it was black to match the rifle instead of silver... what are the OST rules (besides "don't spray the lenses!")for spraypainting an adjustable rimfire scope? :P

Anyone have a link to the IOR-VALDADA rimfire scope? I couldn't find one on IOR's website.

They wanted $20 more for black. If I have to coat it in Sharpie it'd still be cheaper.

Just stuff the lens recesses with enough kleenex to fill them up. then masking tape over the kleenex. Paint whatever color you want. Hint - coyote brown is the new black.
