Or go west on Speedway through Gates pass to Kenny rd.turn right to museum. Scenic route and a place to park and hike at the top of the pass. When your hiking PLEASE tell someone where you are going and what time you expect to be back, this desert is not forgiving at all.

Hi all,

Probably off to Tombstone today, that is if the rain holds off. Pretty cloudy and chilly. Rain wa snot in the forecast for today, but it sure looks like it.

If it rains I'll probably stay local, maybe hit a casino.

All the best,
GB

Did you make it to the gun show over there? I was there this morning, didn't see your post until I got home. Never did make it to the range to shoot today, as when we showed up the morning rangemaster was closing it down because the afternoon guy didn't show.

Yeah there is some good hiking out there, and like curiskacin said - this desert is not forgiving at all. I hiked the Western Saguaro Park and came across two rattle snakes on the same outing (big suckers, too). Mountain lion country for sure...

If you are into wheelin' there are a bunch of OHV trails out Reddington Pass (get on Tange Verde and just keep heading East). There is alot of open shooting country out there, too, if you are range avert, just be sure to clean up after yourself unlike the locals...

As for local scene I roll down to 4th by the campus. Frog and Ferkins has great beer and pizzas, and lots of nice tail walking around during college time. On Grant there is the French Quarter, which is a really good Cajun restaurant.

I'm sure I'll think of more Tucson stuff later... I am not fond of the area... lol.
