Ten friends layed off.

Post by workinwifdakids »

This week, ten friends from work - including my best friend - got their layoff notices.

283 in my district.
:(
And may I say, from a moral point of view, I think there can be no justification for shoving snack cakes up your action.

yup, its going around.

I got fired last week too. But it was a new job and a pretty crummy one. Still, it did provide a decent check (even if the owner unilaterally changed the salary LOWER).

Not to belittle their position or what happened to them, but one of my friends lost his wife this morning, she passed on to her Great Reward at 7:47 this morning.

Lew, I'm SO SORRY, you have my most sincere condolences.

No matter what, things can ALWAYS be worse. I know if anything ever happened to my wife, I'd be a blubbering mess.

I hope your friends find comparable work REAL soon and are quickly re-employed so they don't have to do ANYTHING with the Blohama administration cronies.

Lew's wife was end-stage COPD and had a few fractured vertebra in her back, so her death is a blessing in disguise - she's no longer in pain and not having trouble breathing. It was for the best - she's FINALLY at peace and not in pain.

At some point certain people ARE better off dead.

I still technically have my job, just a good bit less of it.

I work for a small "home cleaning and residential services" company and we've lost a couple clients since last September, and our biggest one is trying to tighten his belt.

Making it that much harder to save up what I need to go get a life.
