So, the left -- tired of questions about Obama's lack of experience -- have decided to go after Palin's lack of experience (those who aren't making fun of Palin's mentally retarded preschooler).
I have a thought. Now, it hasn't been fleshed out, vetted, or peer reviewed, but it may be worth submitting to the marketplace of ideas. Here goes:
THE VICE PRESIDENT. IS NOT. THE PRESIDENT.
Perhaps the statement is murky. Can you help me make it more clear?

Obama vs. Palin
And may I say, from a moral point of view, I think there can be no justification for shoving snack cakes up your action.

The vice president is like that spare magazine you carry. You hope you don't have to use it but if necessary you want it to work. How's that.

Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people.

Now experience includes "running fer office"--something that
San Jose Mercury News Calls Palin 'Clearly Unqualified'
By P.J. Gladnick | August 31, 2008 - 14:11
The San Jose Mercury News, in an editorial today, called Sarah Palin "clearly unqualified" to become vice-president. The reason? Lack of experience. Suddenly liberal members of the media, such as Campbell Brown, until now not the least bit worried about Barack Obama's lack of experience are concerned about this issue. So how to explain away Obama's own lack of experience? Simple. The Mercury News has broadened the definition of experience to include the experience of running for higher office. You read that right. Barack Obama is now qualified to run for president because he has the "experience" of campaigning for nomination. We'll get to that new definition of experience but first let us visit the lead in of this editorial which sounded a bit peeved that John McCain's Palin pick stole the thunder from the Democrat convention (emphasis mine):

Re: Obama vs. Palin
There's a bigger issue here...Just who IS qualified to be President?
Governors don't have the national-level perspective OR the foreign/national security policy credentials. Senators and Congresscritters don't have the executive experience...and often are as regionally oriented as a Governor and with no better qualifications on national security.
When you come right down to it, I can think of only three presidents - 3 out of 43 - that could be considered fully qualified the day they took the oath of office. Theodore Roosevelt (naval strategist, Ass't SECNAV, Colonel of Volunteers, and Governor of New York), Dwight Eisenhower (General with strong combined warfare background), and George H. Bush (ambassador to China, CIA Director).
Even Reagan had to do some on-the-job training - and he had been preparing himself for the Presidency for five years prior.
Palin is no less qualified than the rest of the semi-qualified pack. If you want FULLY qualified, you're looking at either George Allen or Zell Miller. And they aren't running.

Yeah I noticed that trend as well. It is funny. Somehow running a campaign, that is backed by the entire msm, equals executive experience. Pfffft.Baja boy wrote:San Jose Mercury News Calls Palin 'Clearly Unqualified'

(Perches reading glasses theatrically at end of nose): "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."Mike OTDP wrote:There's a bigger issue here...Just who IS qualified to be President?
I'd say being a mayor and a governor of a state bordering two foreign countries is worth at least as much as waiting around for Daley's boyz to dig up enough dirt to drive one's opponent out of the race, and then voting "Present" on anything that might require one to explain something to someone during a subsequent camapign.

Re: Obama vs. Palin
And then we get into the whole issue of "what is she hiding?" USA Today has a whole Gloom and Doom bit on all the "ZOMGWTFBBQ!!!111 She's Not A Perfect Person!!!" bit on how there Might Be Imperfect and What Else Is She Hiding!!! and How This Spells Doom For the McCain Campaign.
That just lovely, sunshine. But what about the MSM's Lord God Sun King? What is in his background that may shed light on his personal judgement?

Surely you're not implying that the left is largely populated by hypocrites, are you?
Oh, wait, of course you are, because it's true.
On a happy note, I've noticed large chunks of the liberal base feeling increasingly marginalized from their leadership by stuff like this.
Hell, here in Washington even the ever liberal King county (where Seattle is) is pulling for Dino Rossi, who very obviously lost last time through voter fraud. The result around the state has been a backlash against the whole Democrat party.
