I'm Frosch. It's a nickname I picked up while stationed in Berlin. I'm a former
cold warrior.

I now write embedded firmware. My company loves me.

Although I had been a sometimes shooter, Kim corrupted me, so I subsequently
purchased more firearms and shot them much more often. I was able to purchase
firearms even though I live in Austin, Texas, because CC missed some ;-)

I'm handy with cars, electronic devices, and language. I read a lot, and my wife and I
vacation abroad occasionally. I'm trying to learn to shoot.

I'm the other Dwight and I'm a recovering sailor. It's been 10 hours since my last cup of coffee.

I'm Mike

I live around the Detroit area. I'm a long time member of The Shooters Alliance for Firearms Rights.
My blog has no name.
I'm currently working for a managed IT firm. Any Connect Wise fans here?

I've got a diverse resume.
I'm an Air Force vet. I've been a waiter, an actor, almost done everything.
I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet, a pawn and a king.
I've been up and down and over and out and I know one thing, each time I find myself flat on my face I pick myself up and get back in the race.

Oh well, that's life.

Hi guys!

I'm Fast_Rope71. I had to lose the '_' here, because the software doesn't like "special" characters, I wonder why it let me in then?.

I live in central TX, hang out with CC when he's in town. I'm still searching for the job I want to do when I grow up, unfortunately I'm already grown up! For now I repair computers for a major manufacturer.

I have a family that is larger than my bank account wishes to sustain, but I love em all too much to downsize (though I threaten it regularly). The looks at the dinner table are priceless when I tell them I'm going to have to let a couple of them go.

I try not to get worked up too much over my fears of where America is heading, sometimes I succeed, sometimes I rock back and forth in the corner singing nursurey rhymes to myself and grinding my teeth at the same time.

Rocketman56 checking in..

I never did join the "GunThing", although I've had the same 'nom de plume' at THR and APS for a while..
I greatly enjoyed KdT's other site.. I understand, but just the same will miss him and the Mrs..

I live in NW Arkansas (currently, subject to change if we can find the right farm/ranch, preferably near St. Louis) with the family.. 2 kids in San Diego (one flits back and forth), 2 kids here and raising the 5 grandkids (mostly)..

I work as a HPC Cluster Architect for a Tier 1 Computer Firm.. Basically, I get to design and build the latest supercomputers for our clients.. (Hint: I don't do Windows.. My first Unix account was on a Digital PDP-11/45.. that will date me, oops!)

Hobbies: Reading/Writing Science Fiction, Computer Programming, Woodworking, Horses, Sailing, BoatBuilding, and when my CFR gets here, collecting MilSurp Goodies! (We collect a number of things, First Editions, Glass Jars and several other odds and ends (Antique Computer hardware, too!), so I'll need to negotiate the reallocation of collection funds for the MilSurp stuff.. sigh.. )

Later..

Rich Jordan, currently in the vast cesspit that is crook county, Ill Annoy, but working on moving to a free state. And a forum newbie again (sigh!).

Work is OpenVMS Systems management and support (and some programming) plus occasional slumming in wintel-land.

Hobbies are varied and fractured by lack of time and resources, but I just can't give them up! Shooting, reloading, US milsurps, working on the '71 Challenger (my first car, still got it!), picking out the occasional neat and surely valuable (hah!) domain name, reading (history, mil-history, sf, some fantasy) and trying to learn enough about web service, website design and programming that my extra work time will go there and someone else will get stuck dealing with the stinking wintel peecees (fond hope!)

Folks at work call me Crazylegs. I'm relatively new to guns, seeing as how I've only wandered for the world for a piddlin' quarter century. I'm mostly into rifles and cooking, with a couple pistols and a CCW license cause it worries the neighbors something fierce when ugly guys like myself wander the neighborhood with rifles slung on their shoulders.

I'll try to show some respect to ya'll older gentlemen and ladies, but you got to remember us youngins are full of piss and vinegar at times. 8-)

Joe ex PNG here- formerly "Joe in PNG" back in the NOR days, but I no longer live in Papua New Guinea.
At the moment I'm working as a mechanic for an unnamed missions organization in central Florida.
Current intrest include playing bass guitar, building bass guitars (I'm finishing up yet another one right now), classic rock and jazz LP records, anime, cars, books, and firearms (obvioulsy).

Highspeed here.

I'm English. I'm a gunsmith\firearms dealer and do other stuff with military equipment, mainly electro optics. My username was chosen back when I used to collect 'high speed low drag' military kit and I'm keeping it so folks know who I am.

I live some of the time in Spain, some of the time in the UK because we are planning to emigrate from one socialist hellhole to another. I really want to move to the US and become a citizen, but this looks pretty much impossible for my particular set of circumstances.
At least it doesn't piss it down with rain all the time in Spain and their gun laws aren't as retarded as those in the UK. You can only play the cards life deals you...

I'm married and we have 3 cats, a Rhodesian Ridgeback and too many horses. My wife works in education and breeds horses part time.
I'm heavily into reading ( non fiction mainly - military history, physics, astronomy )
I love shooting and hunting but I haven't been able to do any of that for ages
I like to make cool things - guns, gadgets, telescopes - when I'm in the UK
Musical taste is Skynyrd, Cash, generic Southern Boogie, blues, stuff like that
Politically I'm a right wing libertarian I suppose, for want of a better description.

I don't really participate in any other forums, apart from one for Brits living in Spain where I'm an administrator in charge of nuking spammers :D

Many thanks to Chris for the new forum.

JAG2955 here. I'm not a JAG, nor does the 2955 have any significance at all. I'm an alumni of "a small liberal arts school on the Severn River", which seems to attract idiots/pedophiles/rapists in recent years. The original NoR site provided me with entertainment while I was there, so now I'm hooked. I'm a Marine officer, and am training for a Police Transition Team as we speak. I'm married with no kids. I collect and shoot, and am a big fan of mil-surp rifles.
