Captain Wheelgun checking in from central Texas......

As you might guess from the name & avatar, I like revolvers, especially in .45 ACP. I'm also a fan of 1911s and Lee-Enfields. I work in a customer care call center for a major cell phone carrier. The screen-name is one that I started using on an old internet mailing list for IPSC shooters, because at that time I was one of a very small group shooting IPSC with a revolver (still do today, but not as much as I would like).

I also want to thank the 4 Horseman for getting the new forum running, and the DuToits for all the previous years of support.

I am The Quiet Man and in general I really am. I've been absent for a while but I hope to be a better member and contribute more often.

I am intensely interested in politics and policy issues, am an avid reader, a huge music fan and have an extensive collection. I have a modest collection of guns and enjoy going shooting any time I can.

Currently working as a Facilities Mechanic at a data center. It ain't glamourous but it pays the rent and keeps food in my belly.

I hope not to wear out my welcome here and appreciate the hard work that Chris and the rest of the fellas put into getting this thing up and running. Cheers!

AZMARK, checking in.
I live on the west side of Phoenix and work for a security company installing CCTV and anti-theft devices. I'm a Navy vet with a passion for guns, and anything else that goes boom. I enjoy hunting and fishing but haven't had much time for either lately.

Tommygun1921 from Kansas City here. Sometimes I posted on The Gun Thing Forums, but not that often.

I’m a fulltime Collage student double majored in Archeology and Criminology . My gun collection is mostly revolvers, and old military bolt actions. The former a decent enough shot, but less I say about my rifle shooting, the less embarrassing it will be. This is mostly the cause of rarely having the cash to afford practice ammo.

Well, that pretty much sums me up.

Retired LEO from NC.
Enjoy shooting and the shooting sports. Don't get near enough time at the range.
Married to my wife of 41 years. Two children who have up and married and have two great grandkids who live much too far away in Fla.
We are in the process of trying to sell our home here and make the move further south. You guess it Fla. esp. since both kids are down there.
Favorite weapons of choice? JHB's 45 and EBR and old faithful Remmy 870.
Thanks to all for setting up this site. Have been more of a lurker at the old forum but will try to be more active here.

A big thank you to the folks who have provided this new forum for us.

Well I'm Justin, my less than perfect eyesight prevented me from joining the USAF and becoming a lifer fighter jock, so I went the civvy route and now bore holes in the sky for a regional airline based in Dallas/Ft. Worth. It's a great job, I'll get to fly the big iron eventually, so I can't complain.

My interested include warbirds, acrobatics, collecting oriental tapestres, sake, and space exploration/sci-fi.

My interest in firearms was rekindled in college, and KdT's essays were responsible for turning me into a full blown gun-nut. One full safe so far and counting, I think I'm off to a good start.

TmjUtah limps in..

Howdy from central Utah to all. Former Marine (0844++++ )and I am currently an unemployed land surveyor, looking at school and eventually teaching. I am married to the One True Love who shoots pistol just a squeege better than I do, but never took up rifle. Both daughters shoot pistol, rifle, shotgun.

I reload with Dillon, do a lot of business with Big 5 when the Mosin-Nagants are on sale, and am the proud owner of the Team Jones Cannon. Which, I am happy to say, is out in her space in the garage, cuddled up against the first thirty new balls I cast for her with the e-bay acquired mold.

I will be at Rumpshot's Revenge with adequate stores to provide good support to the mission.

Famous for my wordy posts. And thank you, Chris and the other moderators, for putting this together on such accelerated notice.

Doug shows up.

Wipes floor as he trods it so as not to leave a mess.

Bows a hello.

Leaves silently the way he came, keeping the floor clean.
