Here in NJ, many building inspectors are contractors who have failed in the business. As such, they have a distaste for those who have succeeded.

Of course at the County they'll just move him to work another area when the complaints pileup. Apparently, this guy in notorious among contractors. He only makes it about 4-5 months in a given area 'til he gets moved again. They didn't know til now that he'd rotated back to our area again.

Heaven forbid he should lose his job.
What'll happen is they'll PROMOTE him so he doesn't have to deal with the public anymore, then they only have to listen to the complaints of their own employees, NOT the public. See, they'll make him a UNION problem for his subordinates and they'll do all the work and documentation to get him fired.

Can you tell I used to work for the city???

Sounds like they already tried that. Contractors tell he used to be a supervisor and got demoted.

Wow! Cool pool.
I've got my swim suit and flip-flops all warmed up. Fill that sucker up and let's dive in.
Okay, okay I'll wait for Summer, but doesn't Summer start in February out in the east county?

Well March anyway. Esp with a good dark cover like we'll have. Gotta maximize that solar load.

Electrical/equipment next up on this Weds.

I'm looking at it now and thinking, "What a blind!"

With minimal camo netting I can sit in the hottub and call 'yotes up from the creek bottom and arrow them. It lines up perfectly in one of my few safe shooting lanes.

What color pool bottom are you going to have?

If it's white, I'll tell you I've NEVER seen anything so damn bright in all my days as my parent's pool when they had it installed when we were growing up. Talk about BRIGHT WHITE - the reflection off the white plaster poolside was INCREDIBLE. You almost need welding goggles to look at it!

If you're having a black-bottom put in, see if you can have some anti-fungal/anti-algae/anti-growth anything added to the finish, because the dark pool bottoms tend to get dirtier faster. The side benefit is they warm up a lot quicker and stay warm longer cutting you heating bill (unless you go solar heat for the hot water - then make sure you have enough to do the house and jacuzzi too).
