Glad to hear you're doing well!!

I got the email, and we're doing fine. Kimberly hasn't been too motivated to try out the big knife 'cause it's kinda' heavy for her (I suppose unless she's pissed or scared, then WATCH OUT!). The cool thing is every time she sees it, it reminds her of why she got it.

Things are going along quite nicely and I'll be moved into my wardroom sometime tomorrow afternoon or Saturday at the latest..

That delicious shake is now starting to get boring but at least they're giving me a couple of cans of it with my meals--Oh, that's right, they are my meals...Only really good thing so far is they allowed me tea a couple of times and I going to have coffee brought in from a Tim Horton’s (like Dunkin Donuts) on Saturday.

They still have me hooked up to the machine, probably off today or tomorrow, as I am hardly using it now and where an injection or a couple of pills when needed is probably all I’d need…It is surprisingly a lot less painful then the first one but it’s also 1/3 the incision so that has some bearing on it.

My sisters and a few close fiends have been in to visit and of course the girls…I kicked my wife out because she was bugging me---NO that wasn’t the reason but she was---she had to get back to teach at the University so other then some friends and family coming in after 1400 it’s gotten quite around here but it seems that every 15 or 20 minutes some damn nurse is in here checking on something or other…I mean somebody has to put food on the table and pay the bills, right!

I’ve got the head night nurse really pissed at me, that mean battle axe…I wake up every morning, without fail, between 0420 and 0440 and can’t get back to sleep…You got to get up early to get things prepped for the fisher folk as we leave the dock at 0630…We’ll it seems that the book light I’m using is bothering the other patients so they gave me a sleeping pill last night and I slept in this morning to 0600, turned on my light to read and the nurse is bitching again about the light…This is one of those jobbies that clip onto the book cover and shine a light directly onto your page…My question is why are the others up and looking at me as the glare doesn’t make it past the sides of the bed!

Thanks again for all the well wishes…My neighbour in the next bed, an older gentleman (90) was interested in the laptop and the Internet and what I was typing…After explaining he read through the menu to the site and was taken aback not only by the dearth of information but at the extended range of the topics and answers…One of the daughters took mine over to him and showed him how it works and how to use it…

Glad to hear you're making progress. I always think that it's a good sign when the patient can piss off the nurses!

And please say hello to your neighbor for us. (or, if you reading this, Hi Neighbor!) I hope he's coming along as well as you seem to be.

Seekher, I can't believe you had the nerve to compare Tim Horton's to Dunkin! Tim Horton's makes Dunkin Donuts look B league! Glad to hear your doing well, get outta that duck farm as quick as you can!
