This Army sergeant just nailed the first-ever perfect score in a service rifle shooting competition
Army Sgt. Benjamin Cleland is officially one of the most badass shooters in America.

The Fort Benning soldier and member of the Army Marksmanship Unit's Service Rifle Team set a national record with the first-ever perfect score on a National Rifle Association high-power rifle course in Oak Ridge, Tennessee earlier this month,
Rocking a M16A2 rifle, the Ohio native nailed the 10-ring on all 80 shots. That's a target that's just 7 inches at both 200 and 300 yards and 12 inches at 600 yards.
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".

Now they'll have to start counting 'x's for the next record.

I do wonder if it was an actual, .mil spec M16A2, or one of the NRA 'Service Rifle' match grade competition models.

If he did it with a GI M16A2, that's REALLY impressive.

He is the son of Michelle Cleland who works on Tom Gresham's Gun Talk Radio program; also part of Cleland's Outdoor World in Ohio (http://www.clelands.com/history/). She said on a segment on the radio that it was a stock, off the rack M16.
