For Those Who Appreciate Irony

Post by MarkD »

Back in November I ordered four tins of Greek .30'06 ammo from CMP. They'll be delivered on Tuesday, 1/20, so I'll be taking the day off to sign for them.

Yes, I'm taking off on Inauguration Day 2009 to take delivery of nearly 1,000 rounds of military ammo for my Garand, which is of course a military rifle.

Oh, the irony is exquisite.

Wow! I'm in the same boat. Ordered in November, should be delivered on Monday or Tuesday.
I didn't even think about Coronation Day.

Funny.
If time, chance and random process can produce a platypus why not an ammo tree?

Don't know if there's going to be any of the stuff I've ordered delivered on Coronation Day but I got 210 rounds of 5.56 Tuesday. Today, I got 100 rounds of Sellier & Bellot .308 147 grain ammo and a green can that SAYS it holds 440 rounds of 7.62x54 which I am NOT opening. I've also got reloading supplies and dies for the .41 mag and other assorted guns.
