And in other news, the use of bittorrent in Louisiana expands dramatically.
The avalanche has already started. It is too late for the pebbles to vote.

Not even that. Someone needs to explain to Louisiana's reps what a VPN is.

I suspect this will be just as successful as the Louisiana Legislature's attempt to collect taxes on Ebay and Amazon sales to Louisiana residents........

Amazon collects sales tax on 45 states - every one that charges one.Termite wrote:I suspect this will be just as successful as the Louisiana Legislature's attempt to collect taxes on Ebay and Amazon sales to Louisiana residents........

There must be an end to this intimidation by those who come to this great country, but reject its culture.

That is not exactly correct. I recently purchased items on Amazon, from a 3rd party vendor.......and paid no sales tax.HTRN wrote:Amazon collects sales tax on 45 states - every one that charges one.
And Ebay isn't even talking to the Louisiana Legislature. There is still one big sales-tax loophole left on Amazon: Shoppers don't have to pay sales tax when they buy from one of the site's many third-party vendors.

El Paso has been charging sales tax for a couple of years now. It's probably State wide, but I don't know that for sure. Meanwhile, the State and Amazon are still doing quite well.
A weak government usually remains a servant of citizens, while a strong government usually becomes the master of its subjects.

Amazon even collects sales tax on Kindle downloads in Alabama. Ebay only collects sales tax on in-state sales.
