Mosin Warhorses

Post by Candyman »

I have never been a big fan of refurbed Mosins. The pretty bluing, flaking shellac and forced matched numbers. I feel that they had so much history scrubed off of them.
I really like the Warhorses that have that BTDT (Been There, Done That) look.
Everytime I come across one I try to buy it, or tread a nice looking refurb of the same make and year for it.
Here are a few that I have in my collection.

Do not relish to feel what the men that used these weapons felt when they saw the elephant. For the elephant has tusk and to see him is to have his tusk dig deep into your soul. You will always have a part of you that will be cold and empty.

I guess I will leave this link here if any of you are interested in what are probably the last of the Finnish Mosins that will be available:

https://www.classicfirearms.com/finnish ... le-762x54r

I want one pretty bad, but I'm about spent out for gun stuff due to 41F plus finishing out existing projects.

I enjoy shooting Mosins. Just wish they came in a left-handed version.

That's a pretty decent price, too.
Note to self: start reading sig lines. They're actually quite amusing. :D

On topic, though...

My "collection" is probably more of an accumulation. But, I still like them for what they are.

Yours are better than mine, Candyman. Thanks for sharing!

Here is my M39 Warhorse. I have two other M39 and a M27, but they are to pretty to call Warhorses.

Me, too, but that's what the straight bolt is for. :)
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .
