Daughter is outgrowing our Henry Minibolt and likes things that are not dingle shot but had trouble loading the mags on our Savage 64. Prefer tube mag then. Plus she wants a pump action. Didnt like the pump Henry because if you are not careful the bolt retracting comes out over your trigger hand and will gouge the crap out of you. Found a Remington Model 12 at Cabelas and the bolt didn't come out the back and seems well made, its my preference for blued steel and wood and they are C&R. Not going to buy from Cabelas because so overpriced..
But plenty on Gunbroker. Opinions? I like preww2 guns and I want to cultivate that opinion in the kids.

Re: Remington model 12?
I looked for one of those for awhile and couldn't find one for a good price/condition.
I wound up buying a Remington Model 24, which is not a pump, but a neat bottom-ejecting semi-auto to satisfy my C&R .22 needs.

Browning / FN Trombone, if you can find one. IMNSHO the slickest .22 pump ever.

I narrowly missed a pristine one at the gunshop recently, but only because my colleague saw it first. She gave me first dibs on it if she ever decides to part with it, so we're both happy.
