Nope. Basically, it just looks cool. It will improve the longevity and corrosion resistance of your gas tube, but that's about it.

Same place I got the $100 Black Nitride 223 Wylde barrel. At my friend's shop. I got the rail at his cost. I asked him what brand it was and he just said "White Box". I don't know where he gets them.

I checked with my buddy about the hand rail. He said that he can only get a few at that price and uses them on rifle builds. He said that it may be a while before he can get some more. He also said that he sales them for $120 and that he gave me a buddy deal on the one I got.
