I vote we do the Ron White thing. Keep buying/flipping or annexing until we stand at the Panama Canal, which we built anyway. Smoke a ciger, drink some Scotch, piss in the Canal, and say: "Now swim this, bitch."
After a while, the Canadians would want to join. English would be the primary official language, with Spanish and French secondary.

We could call the resulting country, from the Panama Canal to the Arctic Ocean.........The United States of North America.
If we do annex anything south of the boarder, we should run it as a possession rather than a territory/state. We should also make the official language of that possession Finnish or something like that just for the fun of making the locals all have to learn a new language and the fact that I don't really want to know what they are saying anyway.

The thing about making Ron White Emperor of the United States of North America is that as long as we kept him supplied with a decent Scotch he wouldn't mess with us....much....unless someone did something really stupid and took his attention away from the Scotch.

Wellll we could give him a couple of shots of Scotch Scotch to start him out, then substitute Suntori Scotch then finish with cheap Rye...'cause America.
Diplomacy might get interesting. I can see him offering some 'wad" ambassador who had been bad mouthing the US to use the Presidential Swimming Pool, then having the Secret Service guys line up beside the pool, present third arms and fire at will.

Suntori doesn't make Scotch, they make Whiskey.

Just like all Bourbon only comes from Tennessee, and all Champagne only comes from a certain region in France.

Careful, The Suntori "Scotch" ninja may come after you

Strangely enough I've read that the Japanese political class likes imported American Bourbon. "AH so, so velly so."

Satori doesn't list it as Scotch.

What they make is follows the style of whisky(including apparently, single malts) that is closest to Scotch(vs. Irish, or the Various American Styles) hence the reason they leave the "E" out of whiskey.

I have to check what I was drinking last night. I SWEAR it was Kentucky Bourbon! :?
There used to be a lot of brands of Armenian Cognac, but the French got after them so now it's Armenian Brandy.
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .
