I love this sort of crap. Leaving the zip code off your letters means you do not submit to the national government, the gold fringe on the flag in the courtroom is code for the judge not having the authority over you as a judge, and there's a secret Thirteenth Amendment that outlaws bar associations, and the use of "Esq." by lawyers. Sadly the Leftists don't have a monopoly on froot-loopery.

Edited to add: Actually I don't love it, but I get a good laugh over it. I was a Notary Public at the tail end of the time when these nuts were getting various odd deeds and documents notarized and then trying to file them in court.
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .

Okay, maybe I'm missing something here.

I went to the link they provided for the entire video. Sovereign citizen guy is apparently "not a person" and has no name, but you can call him by the name he gives, as he is a man. He also doesn't produce any ID to prove he is who he claims to be. I suppose that's fine, but remember in doing so you will likely be considered a douchecanoe and people will treat you accordingly. In an area where security is a little higher than most such a court building you might get an unwelcome reception from the people working there.

Sovereign citizen guy demands to be let into the courtroom to speak with the prosecutor. Tells the bailiff that he doesn't recognize the authority placed in the bailiff to provide security. Then he tries to bumrush the two bailiffs and gets a taser for his troubles.

This same authority the cameraman doesn't recognize is supposed to then protect him when the bailiff pushes said cameraman away and then uses the taser on him? If you don't recognize those laws, then you're kind of hypocritical when you demand that those laws be used to protect you.

I totally forgot about the whole "sovereign citizen" thing. I haven't seen anything about since 1998 or so.
Remember, folks, you can't spell "douche" without "Che."

They've been active in recent years and are a concern for LE since you can't really predict when one is going decide it's time to take the war to the "occupying power".

There was shoot out in Arkansas with a Sovereign Citizen and his son a few years ago that resulted in 2 dead cops and got a lot of folks on edge
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".

Yeah, it's an issue. Recently, DHS issued a report calling them a threat equal to ISIS. According to the linked article:
Some federal and local law enforcement groups view the domestic terror threat from sovereign citizen groups as equal to — and in some cases greater than — the threat from foreign Islamic terror groups, such as ISIS, that garner more public attention.
I think that's overblown, and as a local cop, I tend to give short thrift to most stuff that DHS has to say. However, there is another threat to LEO that some folks are noticing.
Sadly, this is not some hyperbolic warning about a possible future. The bell has already been rung and police are being hunted for sport.
In that linked article, two cops responded to a reported burglary. While taking witness statements, one officer was shot when some guy simply walked up and shot him. That's disturbing when we think that the cop was shot, not individually targeted, but simply because he was a police officer.

But, when you consider that the Sovereign knuckleheads have been responsible for 24 attacks over the past five years, then you consider that gang violence in Chicago has accounted for that much violence in any statitstical three weeks, you wonder what DHS is thinking? What's the real threat to the citizenry?

Perhaps cold comfort, but most of the "sovereign citizen" crowd does recognise the authority of a duly elected local Sheriff. In fact, that's about all the authority they recognise, other than perhaps a state governor.

DHS is full of shit if they think the "sovereign citizen" crowd is the equivalent of ISIS or other Islamic terrorist organizations. Mostly they are paranoid cranks who don't want to pay taxes, of any sort. Left alone they are usually fairly harmless, though "flaky as Grandma's pie crust".

Real threats to citizenry is, at best, second on their list of priorities.

DHS and thinking shouldn't even be in the same sentence together.

But mostly Tesla, and his secret dihydrogen-monoxide-powered zero-point energy converter that the Illuminati are keeping off the market to keep funneling money into their oil empire.
'Regulate' used to mean the opposite of 'constipate.'
