That is why they haven't released the original trilogy on Blu-ray unaltered like millions of people remember. Kind of sad to realize that many people don't know those without Lucas's changes to them. And for that matter a time when there were only 3 great movies rather than 6 (3 being crap ones).

I have the DVD set with both the original theatrical releases and the "updated" ones. Updated as in "George Lucas cooked me a three-course meal 40 years ago and has been trying to feed me additional seasoning to improve the flavor ever since." I've yet to watch the updated versions, the originals are the Platonic ideal.

I've caught a few updated scenes when the movies have been on TV. Not saying they're poorly done (at least not all of them), nor that the scenes themselves don't sometimes make sense. The problem is adding CG effects to a movie where the effects were done with frikkin' MODELS. The difference is noticable, so it ruins the immersion. Regardless of the fact that it's silly to have vehicles that move like elephants or chickens in a universe where there is levitation, that's how they move so it's consistent.

There are Lucas and lens flare parodies of the trailer out already.

In a time long ago and far away back when walk in books stores still existed, I came across a book written by Lucas that was a sequel to the movie "Willow". I thought what the heck how bad could it be...........After attempting to complete it to get my money's worth, I decided that I'd French kiss a cane toad before I'd view or read anything touched by Lucas. I hope that German girl sends him a fudge covered pineapple.
Harsh opinion to follow.

Reading through the discussion of the light saber here, I had an errant thought. If fights follow code duello procedures, you'd salute someone by bringing the blade up near your forehead. Simple slip and that crossguard could end the fight rather suddenly.

Good acting requires an imagination; reality requires a person not getting lost in their imagination.

So that's why they don't have E-Web "Jedi Mowers"?

...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".
