Let's see...
Cast bullets for the .45 ACP (3)
Cast bullets for the .45 Colt (4, including one carbine)
Cast bullets for the .357 Mag. (4, including one carbine).

I search these often, if it's the same one I was looking at with ballast plates it requires mutilation. I figure melting into four pound ingots would suffice.
ETA: Yeah, that's the one. They will allow offsite mutilation under supervision. Fire up the furnace and pour some ingots. Should go for $.50-$1.00 a pound plus buyers' premium and shipping.

Thanks, but I think that one's best left for the professional scrappers. Must be mutilated prior to removal from site, and must be removed within 10 days. Even if I could come up with the equipment to do it, I would never have the time.

What we've done before - not sure if that's an actual auction or if folks just mail stuff in - is buy smaller quantities of stuff from the scrappers at the auction.
Might be worth a phone call to see what being "mutilated" means... Already looks pretty broken.

You could probably crack them with a log splitter.BDK wrote:What we've done before - not sure if that's an actual auction or if folks just mail stuff in - is buy smaller quantities of stuff from the scrappers at the auction.
