Gads, this is a morose thread.
CC wrote:Since 6 am I have received lots texts and emails
Really? Y'all text and email each other? Cool.
So far, there's just exactly one forum member who I text or email, and he lives down the road from me.
Not that I want a raft of texts and emails. Don't get me wrong, I'm good with that, but yeah, this came as a bit of a surprise to me.

Except for that one deal I tried to do with Chris, and it makes perfect sense.

Well, about time. Seems Chris' bullshit finally caught up with him. Thumbs up for justice, honor and responsibility. Well done CC.

I'm betting that my statement will rankle but such is the fallout of a cult of personality.

At this time, this sums up my reaction perfectly.

You may be sick of this and sick of that that, all of which you claim has been ongoing for years, but it sure all seems to come as a surprise to others who apparently had no hint of it prior to this thread being posted. That alone, in a purely objective manner, looking at it from a neutral standpoint, makes your claim seem very questionable at best. This is not even a case of he said versus the other guy said, this is a case of you said and your word is final because you have effectively cut off any replies from the other guy to speak his side of the story. I think what that will accomplish for this site is that you will divide the users who are loyal to you versus those loyal to Chris versus those who are neutral would just like to see a fair discussion of the matter showing both sides of the story with some sort of supporting evidence. If it unfolds that way, as dividing the membership, you may as well kiss these forums goodbye no matter what you name them.

All the best,

Quite frankly if the aggrieved parties want to post about it that is their right. I was involved in may of them and I am not comfortable "outing" them. I know that he personally lied to me on many occasions and has collected WAY more money for the domain renewals two years in a row and didn't renew them past one year. Go to the renewal thread and post what you contributed and see if the numbers add up in that single instance.

There are many more and frankly I don't care to give him a place to put more bullshit excuses in his defense. With the others permission I will quote from emails later. You can believe me or not, I don't care. But ask yourself this.... Have you ever seen me this pissed in the last 10 years? Why now all of a sudden? Why this specific topic? How much money privately or publicly have I solicited from members here over the years? For the record I have employed 5 members of the forum in the past and several are so close to me they are brothers. I think my reputation stands for itself because I have integrity. When Chris started using MY integrity as a substitute for what he had lost I finally had it. The log files say it all as for his banning and nuking threads when he was outed in the past. Why does he deserve more rights to the forum than Precision? Maybe we should ban him for having the temerity to ask for an explanation or his money back after all these years?

Chris took money for a job he was incapable of even performing. He then lied about it and avoided it for years. That's just another instance and not related to me.

I have quite literally made some of the best and closest friends of my life on this forum. Oilcrash, Doc Russia (whom is hunting with me in Scotland on Friday) Fast Rope, Aglifter, Eugene (or whatever he's calling himself these days) Rod, Kim, etc, etc, all y'all mean a lot to me. I don't want to be a party to my friends being preyed upon any longer. I am done making excuses and trying to explain away massive problems.

CC,

As painful as it is even for me (one of the conned), it had to be done. I thank you for taking the stand. We will lose some members over this. But if you changed the frame color from red to blue that would cause someone to get their panties in a bunch.

Truth, honor and integrity are super important. I like to think they are super important to most people on the forum, yes even you Yogi. When those qualities (and it would appear several others) have disappeared; even more when a moderator is hiding behind those qualities in another in order to continue the subterfuge, something must be done. You did it. Good for you.

It seems that I am often a trigger point with these types of things. The nonprofit I worked for, I was the whistleblower. At my recent Chef job, I was the whistleblower. I am not sure if I was the whistle blower of record here, but I was certainly at least a fairly vocal voice in the crowd.

I take no pride in this, but I am glad at least our community has been warned. I think some other communities have an inkling as well.

Today is a sad day for our forum, but from this we shall become better and stronger.

When it was $20 here and $50 there it kept getting overlooked. When it came to thousands it was put forth it had to be dealt with and a plan made. When we got excuse after excuse allowances were made.

At some point you have decide when and where the lies and deceit started and when you are the only one to put a stop to them. Thank you for your forbearance all this time and to all the other members, thank you for having big hearts when someone needed help. It's just that the help wasn't enough and it became something else much darker.

A sad day for us all.

It sucks, but there is enough faith in the moderators that I can trust this is a correct action. The action shocked me, but I am not up in arms over it. Handle your business as you see fit. I am not making a decision one way or another on chris's character, because I lack the specifics, but it does hurt to hear this kind of stuff, especially since I have sent funds in the past (Which was a direct violation of my personal code, as it were)
