Bash Shellshock

Post by scipioafricanus »

Ok, how bad is this Bash Shellshock? http://gizmodo.com/why-the-shellshock-b ... tsongordon

According to the one test my Mac (running 10.6.8) is vulnerable. And before I go through the steps to fix it, I would like to know what the heck it is.

Wonder if this affects all those generic Linux-based DVRs used for cameras. A few customers have them, and while we don't officially support them we're going to have to do some digging on this.

very few embedded linuxes use bash. Now if busybox is found to have the same vulnerability, then you have trouble.
