New IOS yea or nay?

Post by Rod »

Been seeing all the hoopla about the new IOS 8 and iPhone 4 and 4S. Good idea to update or not? Why? Too lazy to see if it's been talked about already.

4s here and we're waiting too. Got burned with IOS4 on the 3G, not going to do that again.

At least we got three years of good performance out of these, unlike the 3G

I've heard that it slows down 4S operations tremendously, was wondering if it's worth it since I only use the phone for texting, phone, pictures, and web surfing when needed. If it's not going to bother those ops much, then I'll take the advice. If it does, I'll just forget about it.

I installed it. It's usuable, but not as fast or responsive as iOS 7.1.2 was. No big deal since I'm upgrading to a 6 in the near future, but I will not be installing it on the mother-in-law's phone.

Not a lot of new wizbang features. Bunch of minor improvements and under the hood work. The improvements you can see elicited a resounding "meh" when I saw them.
