Anyway, if one placed 6 of them on custom tube equally spaced and can be turned on with one master switch and the tube is made out of whatever, and each one is focused to the length of 5 feet to a specific point, would they act as one?

Pretty much, diode lasers have terrible divergence and mode properties. Now what you can do, is use diode lasers as source pumps for bigger lasers. :mrgreen:
