That probably happens a lot when the Executive Producer is Stan Lee.

Not really... Much as I love and respect him for his literally immeasurable and incalculable role in comics, he really never has cared much about continuity or faithfulness to the comics so long as the check clears.

Which, I don't have a problem with frankly. So long as a movie is good I don't much care how close it is to the source material.

Enders Game didn't suck because it barely had anything to do with the book (though god knows it would have helped if it had); it sucked because it was badly written, badly directed, and badly edited.

I SO agree with that assessment. Ender's Game deserves a Raspberry special nomination.

Kind of sad I purchased Ender's Game on Itunes. I really hate how they sell a movie for a week or so before its available for renting.

I have yet to see any of the X-Men movies. (Or anything to do with Transformers.) Just not into 'em.
Just personal taste about "best ice cream flavor", so I recuse myself.
It took Avengers, and a random viewing of clips playing while I passed through at WallyMart of Iron Man 2 to get me to go back and watch the separate Marvel prequels.

A small number of comic books are turned into good flicks.
A whole lot aren't, and are in fact positively horrible and a blight on the screen. They should be in the dictionary under "art crime".
(Like all of the Batman movies between the first one until the Dark Knights, any Superman beyond III, all of the Spiderman movies after the first one, The Phantom, Tank Girl, Judge Dredd, Daredevil, Elektra, Ghost Rider, Sin City, Watchmen, Green Lantern, Green Hornet, Cowboys and Aliens, ad infinitum ad nauseum. As a rule, I assume movies based on comics or acting like it -Sky Captain and the World Of Tomorrow, most epic piece of garbage ever foisted on an audience, I'm looking at you!- will suck until proven otherwise, and anecdotally I'm about 80% right.)
