Osaka sunrise

Post by blackeagle603 »

Found myself flying on Dec 7 for business to Japan.
I'm getting to old or too jaded for this stuff...

Finally go to hotel last night at 7. Supplier rep says, "Come on we take you for quick dinner. " 3 hours later... Yeah, that's quick.

Tuesday morning, getting going. groan... Seems like a haiku is appropriate.

Osaka Dinner
We eat fast! Be back early!
Don't ask what food is.

I learned very early in my travels that there seems to be no such thing as a quick dinner in the Orient.

I manage to cry off karaoke. They kept my colleague out till Midnight singing Billy Joel though.

Just made it to Seoul now. Wow. What a metropolis. Headed out for another "quick" dinner.

Made it back in one piece and in time for some live music. Plumb out of haiku though. Head cold clearing out now, maybe the muse will strike another day soon.

Some business trips feel more like work than others. Doesn't help if you get sick on the first day out. Korea part was the worst of it -- pretty much sucked. That said I'm reluctantly fascinated by the place. Tough people.
