Re: Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
Right back atcha'!! I'm wearing dark green shorts and a lighter green t-shirt in honor of the day, and I'll be raising a toast much later today.

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.
I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad

Wearing Orange, I am.
Was to take the day off (30th anniversary with my St Paddie's day dream date) but am in the office for a half day since there's come excitement on a new design that needs some help troubleshooting. Wracking my head to get into explaining a correlation gap in impedance measurement between time domain and frequency domain.

I am of German descent, but will be getting my Irish on (with some restraint. I do have to work tomorrow, after all.) w. some Jameson tonight. The now-cooking corned beef is starting to make the house smell wonderful.
Happy day to all the Micks out there!

One-quarter Irish here, by descent.
Dad's biological father was Irish, his mother was Mongolian, he was adopted by a Norwegian family and my Mom was Norwegian. So ethnically I'm Norwegian (1/2), Irish (1/4) and Mongolian (1/4). I have a Norwegian last name (if you know what to look for, it doesn't end in sen/son, my adopted grandfather took the name of the town he lived in as his last name) even though my Dad wasn't actually Norwegian. Most people think my last name is Eastern European. You can see the Asian in me if you know what to look for, just like you could my Dad, but you wouldn't think Asian at first glance.
And I do like Guiness and Irish Whiskey, especially the premium types of Jameson. I'm partial to Jameson's Black Barrel Reserve and REALLY like their 12 year old varieties.

Wife decided to go full Irish (from a Jewess yet) so we're having corned beef and cabbage for dinner. The house smells great now.
