She's my son's cat that we inherited when he had to move to Tennessee. Son didn't feel like making her suffer through a long car ride. about 6 or 7 years old, at least part Siamese. And yeah, .45 LC if fun, especially if you take both modern and black powder rounds to the range. New problem though, none of my holsters fit so I get to go to the gun show next weekend and see if I can find one.

I have a cap-and-ball version of that pistol (Remington 1858 IIRC). Nice pistol, but the C&B version tends to bind as it gets dirty.

Both but it'smainly for the reenactments. We use full load Hollywood blanks for that. Lots of smoke and a pleasant boom instead of a "crack".

Went down to El Paso Saddlery today and looked through their rejects and returns. Below is what I found for $100.00, only problem is the belt loops are for .38/.357. A careful application of water and stretching should get them up for .45 LC though.

Took it to the range today, finally. Firing PMC 250 grain round noses at 25 yards. First five shots

The flyer was my fourth shot, I knew I pulled it. The double and the top hole measure
3/4 of an inch center to center. The double and the bottom hole measure 1 inch center to center.
Damn trigger is around 3 1/2 pounds, if that. That's also the other excuse for the flyer.
