I think if I ever build a museum that I will seriously consider a geological survey.

When all else fails, common sense is a prudent policy.
Fortunately it was only Corvettes.
No actual cars were damaged, just plastic ones.

If you're in Kentucky, you're in KARST region - and KARST has sinkholes, and they change ALL THE TIME. I'd blame the surveyor and building manufacturer for NOT checking for sinkhole potential/imminent danger of sinkholes - AND IF SO, design a floor to withstand a sinkhole until a certain size is reached, and also build in sensors in the floor AND implanted DEEP into the ground under the building to warn if impending sinkhole activity.Cobar wrote:I think if I ever build a museum that I will seriously consider a geological survey.

AND I LIVE in "Earthquake Country" - NOT in "SinkHole Country".
DOH!!!
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON
A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.
I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad

Just think, if you had one, you could be celebrating that it's value just went up a little bit more.HTRN wrote:Hey now, some of us LIKE vettes..

We once lost an M60A1 tank at Knox in Area 5-North. Platoon laggered on a bald hill and got out to chow, when they looked back, where there were five tanks before, they could find only four. One of the tanks had broken through the roof of a limestone cave and dropped fourteen feet into the cave system. Classic antenna-depth mire. Luckily, the stone beneath it was solid, and over the course of a week or so they were able to cut a trench down to the tank and drive it out. The crew spent the next week replacing broken torsion bars in the suspension, but the huge benefit was that no one was hurt.

It also means an "Earthquake 88" Stingray Coupe just became a little more unfordable.Netpackrat wrote:Just think, if you had one, you could be celebrating that it's value just went up a little bit more.HTRN wrote:Hey now, some of us LIKE vettes..
