Music from the past

Post by Wrenchbender1 »

Does anyone here listen to music from the 40's or earlier? I just found a place that has a few thousand songs from 1900 to 1945 plus a lot of the "Command Performance" and "GI Jive" radio shows from the second world war. There's also recordings from various radio stations (I think there's about 20 something gigs worth total). The guy uploaded them for Silent Hunter 4 but they're in MP3 format so they work with windows media player.

They can be found here if you want to download them.

Yeah, pre 1930s recordings are usually only acceptable if they're classical ones recorded in Germany.

Otherwise, plenty of Blues, Western Swing, etc from that period as well.
