I so need to get my picture account-fu back up to speed...

This reminds me of the goon - not the brightest star in the English-language firmament - who uploaded a parody of Kim's "Nation of Riflemen" site. He called it "Nation of Sewers"*, and couldn't figure out why we found that hilarious.

* He thought he was writing about needlework, not plumbing.

So, how does this guy feel (with emphasis on feeeeeelings) about Adam Carolla and his book "In Fifty Years We'll All Be Chicks", a more contemporary and fully-developed book (a whole book!!!) on the same subject?
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .

Word salad. I couldn't get through all of it because the writer was trying way to hard to use big words when small ones would do and 100 of 'em when 5 would.

I saw "self congratulating" somewhere in there I think. Ironic.

What I love about the intertube is how a guy can take an essay with a point to make then cavil about minor points and (intentionally) misconstrue key points then pat himself on the back for having demolished that horrible straw man.
You may enjoy this.

To be fair, the original was a hastily-written train wreck.

The duToit trademark. 'ROT, train wreck, whatever.' Kim is kind of a larger-than-life figure, and that includes virtues and flaws both.

That said, he was on to something. And he isn't the only person who's noticed it. For instance:

I frankly admit that I like him, and I'm prejudiced enough to be inclined to overlook any flaws. That surely affected my reading of the response. That said, Nicodemus's description rang true.
Note to self: start reading sig lines. They're actually quite amusing. :D

Oh I like him too, but that doesn't stop me from observing and analyzing.

Try this- he's from a prosperous upper-middle-class aspirational background, and as such he apes the behaviors of the class he so wishes to be, that is the gentry or aristocracy. His cavalier approach (pun intended) to things and aristocratic attitudes have cost his family dearly and led to several of the train wrecks we read about at length on his blog. (Cue Radiohead 'You Do It To Yourself (Just)' in the background....)

I wasn't entirely sure who Nicodemus was picking on.

I'll agree that he was on to something. Even the "rebuttal" agreed with that. But the things he picked to rail on about were retarded. As Kim said himself later, it wasn't very good, a knee-jerk post that got a little out of hand.
