Yeah. They won't be getting any of my meager ammo dollars. Not even when they begin selling .45 ACP. (Assuming they don't dry up and disappear first.)

This causes multiple wound channels that will effectively hit vital organs for the eventual complete termination of interest.
I have to say, looking at that site terminated my interest pretty well even without any vital organ involvement.

I was gonna post about this. The son just showed me their video.

But I guess it is already covered.

If they made it out of silver (for the undead) it would raise the weight to roughly 109 gr. Just a thought for future marketing. ;)

I felt more Operationally Operative by watching that video.

As CB said, it's deja vu all over again. I remember Glaser Safety Slugs that predated DRT by about 30 years.

The problem with frangible ammo is that padded leather vests become ballistic protection.

No penetration means no stop.

I'm becoming a fan of PRK-style "Lead Free" ammo. I have yet to recover a copper hunting bullet, so I have growing confidence in their reliable penetration.

Aren't pure copper bullets what were referred to as "Solids" for shooting dangerous game in Africa? I seem to recall that from "The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber." I think the only thing with better penetration would be steel core and then AP.
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .

Yup

The law can be your friend.

LEO: "Aren't these AP bullets that are designed to penetrate ballistic vests?"

D5: "No officer, these are California-approved lead-free bullets to keep from poisoning the endangered California condors. After all, you never know which gut pile a California condor might ingest a lead bullet from."

The text of the law in case Mr. LEO is still skeptical: http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces ... 20140AB711

Some editorial in favor of the law: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news ... a-science/

Did I mention I cancelled my subscription to National Geographic about 15 years ago?

Copper bullets are actually usually expanding ones, TMK - "solids" these days are often tungsten jacketed with copper.

There are copper solids, BATFEIEIO has effectively banned them from large scale manufacturers (Barnes). The remaining all copper bullets are hollow points, most of them have a hole drilled down 30-50% down and are pre-stressed for petal formation.

Doesn't stop anyone with a lathe and a piece of solid copper.
