90% of the time when my penis feels inadequate.

So, basically 90% of the time? <ducks and runs>

There must be an end to this intimidation by those who come to this great country, but reject its culture.

In the shower, it's 3' away. While I'm sleeping, it's 1' away. All the rest of the time, it's on me.
I don't carry or pack it when I fly, which is a couple times a year.
I read something once that said you'll need it when you don't have it, so the best thing is to adopt the habit that it's always with you. It's easier to have the habit than to remember sometimes.

Note to self: start reading sig lines. They're actually quite amusing. :D

I pretty much do the same as you, except I do take it when I fly. Seeing as I don't fly to NY, NJ... there isn't a problem.

I haven't flown with one yet.Weetabix wrote:In the shower, it's 3' away. While I'm sleeping, it's 1' away. All the rest of the time, it's on me.

The avalanche has already started. It is too late for the pebbles to vote.

The only time I'm not carrying is when I'm travelling for business via airline, on a client site, in a courthouse, or where it is otherwise illegal for me to carry.
Traveling for business to 2A challenged states (where most of my business seems to be) cuts my EDC time to about 50%.
I also keep an unloaded, disassembled (bolt locked in a lockbox) K98 in my vehicle with about 50 5rd stripper clips of ammo (all the ammo fits into an old US Army canteen pouch). A disassembled bolt action rifle is legal in pretty much every state except MA, DC, Chicago or NYC (where I refuse to go even if it means losing business). Yes, I have a K98 bayonet as well.
A handgun is a tool that might help you get to wherever you left your rifle - works better if it's not too far away.

how long would it take you from unlocking the vehicle door to putting rifle rounds down range with that setup?

I actually went through that drill once with a friend using a shot timer. The drill was starting with me in the driver's seat. About 3 minutes. I tried about four times, and went from just over 3 minutes to just under 3 minutes.Precision wrote:how long would it take you from unlocking the vehicle door to putting rifle rounds down range with that setup?
Add another 2 minutes for the bayo. That's in the box in the back of the truck with the tire chains, so a bit of a PITA to get to. Many municipalities have a dim view of double edged knives inside the cab of the vehicle, and the K98 bayo may be broadly interpreted by some LEOs as a stiletto.
Better to have the rifle locked and loaded in the old-style pickup truck rack? Sure. I just don't have time for all the police stops that will ensue.
