Given the circumstances, it should be not only legal, but encouraged, that the Good Samaritan go to the family's house and shoot them too.
If he manages to take out everyone above the age of weaning, an award and small cash honorarium should be delivered in thanks on behalf of the citizenry.

And Junior F**ktard needs a simple consolidated three-strikes trial, followed by a 25-life timeout in the state pokey to reconsider the error of his ways, with hope of a potential parole in 2039 or so, if he can behave for that long.

I think most of our forum members would have done the same. 2nd strike for armed robbery. It only escalates with crime.....
